Research Ethics

As a graduate of the first NSF sponsored Graduate Research Ethics Education Workshop, I have a special interest in Research Ethics and the development of good research practices. I teach in programs to develop good research practices at Clemson University sponsored by both the Rutland Institute for Ethics and the Office of Research Compliance.


Projects I've been involved with include:

  • Presenter, Clemson ORC Research Compliance Brown Bag seminars, "Issues in Authorship", "Issues in Data Handling", "Issues in Mentorship", "Issues in Data Handling: Image Processing"
     
  • "Walking on Eggs", three one-hour workshops using case studies on stem cell research for Anderson High School students in EMERGE program, April.
     
  • Co-designed, ran and taught in Ethics in Scholarship and Research Workshop sponsored by University of Pittsburg Survival Skills Program, the Rutland Institute and the Graduate School, April 9, 2004.
